This Nag came from a place named Kachoun in Sunni region. He travelled in many places like Mahunnag, Bada, etc. and became famous by the several names like Mahun Nag, Taggasi Nag, Baloo Nag, etc. From Bada he went to Sakiran, where he met Sakiran Mahadev. Later on he met Jogni Mata in Danchokhari. From Danchokhri he visited Shural. There he met four cowherd grazing animals. Takrasi Nag showed himself in person to the cowherd. After watching this miracle, they built a temple for the Nag devata. The devata gave them names like Suhali Pajair, Mushaidu Mautha, Chhaindi Chhandal and Khauti. He entrusted a task to each viz. of worship, guardian, and companion musician, respectively. Nag devta came from Sural to Takrasi. He was established here as Takrashi Nag. His temples are situated in Baalh and Saui villages also. The devta has fifteen mohras.
