HIGHLIGHTS
In ancient time, A girl near a pond namely Sugga – Sarpara under district Shimla used to move there for grazing her cattle. One day she saw nine peculiar type of flowers on the bank of pond. She moved there to pluck them. She had plucked upto eight flowers but when she was to pluck nineth one, Jal Devta started moving around her in the form of a ‘Bhramar’ (black bee) due to which she got afraid and fall into the pond. Jal Devta had taken her with him and she stayed a long time with him and when she returned home then gave birth to nine children in the form of Nag. He started bringing them up hiding them from all others. One day, when she was gone out of her house for some work, her mother had seen those Nag and she thrown hot ashes on them due to which all Nags were frightened and fled away. When their mother returned then she found them not available so with sadness she moved forward to seek them. Where ever she found a Nag, She provided them a public region and herself started residing in Giyagi in the name of Boodhi Nagin
